The Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS)

The Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS), also known as National Security Framework is regulated by the Royal Decree (RD) 311/2022 of Spain. The ENS offers a common framework of basic principles, requirements and security measures for the adequate protection of the information processed and the services provided by the entities in scope, with the aim of ensuring access, confidentiality, integrity, traceability, authenticity, availability and conservation of the data, information and services used by electronic means that they manage in the exercise of their competences. It is applicable to both the public sector organizations in Spain and the private sector organizations that provide them with solutions or services i.e., the suppliers that collaborate with them.
