F5 Named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls

SEATTLE – F5 Networks (NASDAQ: FFIV) today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of its Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), published August 7, 2017.

WAFs protect web applications and APIs against a variety of attacks, notably including injection attacks and application-layer denial of service (DoS). They should not only provide signature-based protection, but should also support positive security models and/or anomaly detection.” 1
