Workloads can be moved across a cluster of BIG-IP devices without interrupting other services and can be scaled to meet the business demand.
Device Service Clustering gives you the ability to group an array of heterogeneous BIG-IP devices to scale your infrastructure. Automatic configuration syncing ensures a consistency and simplifies operations.
Operational Scaling: Multi-Tenancy and Virtualization on Shared Hardware
Virtualizing your Application Delivery Controller (ADC) services using F5 virtual Cluster Multi-Processing (vCMP) technology with purpose built hypervisor enables a multi-tenant solution that supports virtual ADC guests, each running different BIG-IP versions and product modules on a single shared BIG-IP or VIPRION platform.
Each virtual ADC guest or tenant can be combined with route domains and partitions enabling efficient consolidation of application services through both administrative and network isolation to support thousands of tenants, up to 2560 guests in an all active cluster of 32 VIPRION 2400 chassis. Network isolation, segregation of admin access, and dedicated resources ensures security and protects from oversubscription and inadvertent changes. In addition, user selectable allocation of cpu and memory resources provides the right sized capacity to run any combination of BIG-IP software modules. With VIPRION chassis platform and flexible allocation of blades, you also get dynamic resource scaling without requiring a reboot.

VIPRION chassis provides true linear scalability through modular blades. As blades are added for more power, they are automatically available to the system and will immediately start processing application traffic for that same virtual ip address, with no configuration or changes needed.
