A Forrester Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study commissioned by F5 shows 30% reduction in networking costs associated with cloud infrastructure optimization with Distributed Cloud Services.
F5 commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a study to take a closer look at how a composite organization representative of interviewed customers used the cloud infrastructure services offered on the F5 Distributed Cloud Platform, and in particular the net returns their IT Infrastructure and Network Ops teams experienced post deployment.
The study looked closely at customer investments like subscription fees and implementation costs, as well as optimization of their cloud infrastructure by consolidating their tech stack. The study also examined reducing cloud networking spend by paring down from multiple vendors, decommissioning legacy hardware and redundant services, optimizing the software development lifecycle, and boosting overall staff productivity from a networking perspective.
Cloud infrastructure refers to the hardware and software resources that make up the cloud. Hardware resources include servers, storage devices, and networking equipment, while software includes virtualization and management solutions. F5 Distributed Cloud Services simplifies networking to help reduce costs, while providing visibility and management to help identify and mitigate network and security concerns.
This study focuses on networking benefits provided by F5 Distributed Cloud Services. Specific security benefits were not included as part of the scope of this study.
