F5 uses the Cisco Registered Envelope Service (CRES) to easily exchange secured emails with external parties.
How it Works
When someone at F5 sends you a secured email you will receive a notification in your inbox. This notification includes the encrypted message in an attachment. This attachment is the Secured Envelope and remains available for 24 hours. You can open the secured message once you have completed the simple registration process, which includes creating your CRES password. Once registered, you can quickly open other secured messages using the CRES password you created.
First-time Recipient Registration
When a Registered Envelope is received for the first time, you will be prompted to complete the registration when the encrypted message is opened. Follow these steps to complete the registration:

Once you have completed the Cisco Register Envelope Service registration you can quickly open your encrypted message using the steps below.
Note: for best results, we recommend opening secured messages from a computer.
Replying to an Secured Email
You can reply to the sender securely by clicking Reply within the message window.
