Deals Desk Analyst

The Deal Desk Analyst role is part of our Worldwide Sales Operations organization. As a valued member of our team, you will support the sales teams throughout various geographic regions in deal structuring, pricing and contract reviews.

You will provide exceptional knowledge of product offerings, services, support, licensing programs and standard methodologies to the sales organizations. You will be instrumental in driving increased sales and revenue! You'll be expected to make decisions independently and gain input from our leadership team and provide recommendations as well as breaking down complex situations to sales leaders using analytics.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between our sales teams and other departments including (but not limited to) Professional Services, Channel, Finance, Product Management, Product Development and Legal to ensure deals are structured and negotiated properly while complying with F5 policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

  • You'll handle day-to-day quoting, pricing approvals and analysis
  • You will provide and carry out discounting guidance to Sales teams on all active and pending quotes across multiple regions
  • Ensure that sales and negotiation strategies are carried out to established guidelines and policies, and maintain deep understanding of F5 licensing
  • Manage to a set service level agreement on all incoming discounted pricing requests
  • Partner with Finance to ensure consistency and transparency with the key performance metrics for sales reporting
  • Study historical product pricing trends as part of larger deal reviews
  • Identify and implement new, meaningful methods for deal reviews, deal scoring, and approval process

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A demonstrate your ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Navigation with intermediate computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Intermediate Experience with CRM systems preferred (SFDC)
  • Intermediate understanding of Channel and Direct Sales Processes
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form
  • Juggle, multitask, and prioritize your actions
  • We would like you to think creatively, tackle problems and initiate tasks
  • Conduct independent research
  • Draw concise, well-supported recommendations based on detailed analysis of the given issue

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's of Art or Bachelor's of Science in Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 2 – 4 year's of relevant experience within Sales Operations environment at a minimum or show us comparative role supporting a sales organization

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • From time to time, we may require you to be on call and work outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)
  • Be willing to work extended hours during times at the end of the quarter
  • Do you love traveling? Awesome, because sometimes you may have to go somewhere in the U.S. or travel overseas!
