Sr Hr Generalist

F5 is seeking to hire a Sr. HR Generalist for our San Jose team. This position will drive people initiatives, develop programs and processes that enable the business groups to meet/exceed department objectives, and act as a consultant to managers and employees. In partnership with the business this position will provide direction and developmental support in alignment with F5’s business goals and objectives for increased effectiveness, growth, and profitability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HR support to assigned business groups. This includes, but is not limited to: Process improvement, performance management, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, policy and procedure applications, as well as day-to-day operations.
  • Advise and coach managers on best employment practices.
  • Manage and support the business on employee relation issues.
  • Contribute compensation support, promotions and job analysis.
  • Administer and develop HR programs, procedures and plans.
  • Maintain current and complete understanding of all federal, state and local laws and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Utilize excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully establish and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Work independently on assigned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.

6+ years experience functioning in an HR Generalist capacity.

PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Current understanding of federal, California state and local employment laws.

Ability to present, influence, negotiate and effectively coach employees and management to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.

Demonstrated work experience in the following areas: Employee relations, recruiting, training, performance management, change management and compensation.

Experience working as an individual contributor as well as an active participant in team projects.

Experience with formal change management practices preferred.

Must be detail oriented, with ability to set priorities and multi-task.

Comfortable facilitating HR training to a wide audience

Experience in HR supporting the tech industry.  Strong ability to work independently.
