F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking (ADN), today announced new comprehensive sales and sales engineering training programs for its channel partners around the world. These offerings are designed to illustrate the value of F5® solutions and enable resellers and distribution partners to effectively address the application delivery needs of their customers. The new web-based training tools and accreditation programs will be available at no cost to help ensure that partners can effectively articulate how F5 solutions support customers’ cloud, virtualization, and data center initiatives. In turn, the programs also help increase partner profitability and enhance partners’ ability to add value to their customers’ environments.

“As an extension of our global UNITY program, these offerings provide partners with the information and tools to clearly communicate the value of F5 technology,” said Dean Darwin, VP of Worldwide Channels at F5. “By augmenting our partner training programs to capture the breadth of F5’s application delivery and storage optimization capabilities, we’re ultimately helping partners forge deeper sales engagements and enabling customers to take advantage of everything F5 can do for their organizations.”

Details

The new Sales and Technical Accreditation programs are designed to establish a consistent and powerful learning methodology for F5’s growing network of partners worldwide. Upon completion of the new training, partners will have the knowledge required to better recognize sales opportunities, map specific client needs to the F5 portfolio, define clear use cases, and ensure deeper engagements with customers. By building the skills of dedicated sales teams worldwide, the new programs will enable F5’s partner network to more effectively address sales opportunities and help customers implement flexible solutions to meet changing needs and business priorities.

Highlights of F5’s new offerings include:

  • Improved Understanding of F5 Solutions for Partners
The new training materials will help partners become more familiar with how F5 products act as strategic points of control within customers’ IT infrastructures. Focus areas include an in-depth look at the capabilities of F5’s solution set and how F5 products can be integrated within various infrastructures. Sales engineers will receive thorough training on product features and benefits, basic deployment architectures, and the most common use cases for every product in F5’s solution portfolio.
  • Enhanced Continuity of Sales Engagements Worldwide
Updated training materials will empower channel partners to more successfully market, sell, and deploy F5’s high-performance Application Delivery Networking solutions. With the new programs, partners will go through comprehensive training modeled after the same resources and content used by F5’s internal sales and technical employees. This approach will bolster consistency throughout the partner ecosystem and help ensure that organizations representing F5 have the same access to valuable subject matter expertise. Accreditation programs focus on the entire F5 portfolio, including all BIG-IP® software modules, thus expanding partners’ ability to provide integrated solutions to address their customers’ evolving business objectives.
  • Increased Partner Profitability through Efficient Communication and Accreditation
With F5 Sales and Technical Accreditation programs available on demand via the web, partners’ sales personnel can go through materials as their schedules permit. The training materials take into account different roles, with modules focusing on specific topics, and allow individuals to take courses at their own pace. This flexible approach makes learning the overall course material more efficient, operative, and effective. In addition, accreditation efforts help partners meet tiering requirements for F5’s global UNITY program.
