uRoam and Terra Corporation Form Strategic Relationship to Deploy Radically Simplified Remote Access Solutions to Asian Markets

FirePass 2.2 is fully Japanized for burgeoning market

uRoam, Inc. and Terra Corporation today announced that they have formed a strategic relationship whereby Terra will represent uRoam's products, technology and services in Asia. uRoam is a leader in providing radically simplified, web-based remote access solutions, with its FirePass product successfully deployed at numerous enterprise clients. Terra is one of Japan's premiere business incubators, business consultants and solution providers. uRoam's FirePass supports remote access to corporate desktops and networks from PC, Palm, RIM, PocketPC and Internet phone browsers including i-mode, jPhone, and WAP in a single, integrated, elegant solution requiring no setup or installation on the accessing devices. The reduced installation and support burden enables substantial reductions in network administration costs, while providing superior convenience and ease-of-use for the remote workers.

A Japanese-language, double-byte-capable version of FirePass Release 2.2 is now available through Terra's subsidiary Technowing Corporation (www.technowing.com). Technowing will act as uRoam's distributor, providing sales and support for the Asian market. Yasuo Kobayashi, Terra's Representative Director said, "Our partnership with uRoam leverages our position as an innovative and aggressive leader in the growth of IT industries in Japan and Asia. uRoam's products fill an urgent need for corporate customers in the global marketplace to easily and securely stay connected to mission critical information anytime-anywhere. Best of all, with no client needed, full localization, and compatibility with Japan's major phone browsers, uRoam's products truly are simple to deploy and use." "We're extremely pleased to partner with Terra to bring the next generation of remote access to the Asian marketplace," said Michael Herne, uRoam's President & CEO. "Terra is a great partner because of its strong ties to the marketplace and its consistent record in bringing new and innovative solutions to the market from multiple business perspectives."
