New F5 Technology Center Spotlights Suite of Award-Winning F5 Products and Certified Partner Solutions

State of the art facility on F5's main campus provides visiting customers and partners with a real-world environment to evaluate and test F5 solutions and partner applications

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced the opening of the F5 Technology Center. Located in the heart of F5's Seattle headquarters, the Technology Center provides new and existing customers and partners with the opportunity to evaluate, test and validate the value F5 products provide for applications developed by F5's iControl and Technology Alliance partners such as Microsoft, SAP, HP, RSA Security and Oracle.

"The technology center gives our customers and partners a unique chance to put their proof of concepts and architectural design strategies to the test," said Karen Jester, Director, Product Management Solutions Engineering at F5 Networks. "For the first time in the industry, customers can see for themselves in a comprehensive testing environment how they can reduce costs and improve application performance, security and availability by utilizing F5 technology as well as partner solutions developed specifically for our products."

Visiting customers' and partners' technical and design staff can actively take part in or observe activities such as performance testing, network and application simulations and proof of concept designs. The facility includes a state-of-the-art technology data center, world-class executive briefing center, and private design and development suites available for use by visiting developers and engineers.

During customer visits, F5 solution engineers will examine the customer's business objectives and provide powerful demonstrations customized to the customer's specific IT and application environment. Each F5 solution engineer is a highly trained expert with an intimate understanding of F5 products and the solutions of F5 partners. The information and advice they provide, plus access to a simulated IT environment, can help customers accelerate and minimize the risks associated with actual network and application deployment.

Accessing a comprehensive library of certified partner applications, F5 solution engineers can rapidly create a virtual environment simulating the customer's IT infrastructure, including the network, hardware, applications and advanced features they seek to deploy. Engineers provide tailored product and technology presentations and architectural guidance, and work closely with key members of visiting technical staff to demonstrate custom solutions.

In addition, the technology center provides a facility for continued advancement of solutions jointly developed by F5 and its iControl and Technology Alliance partners. While at the center, visitors can view and appraise new and evolving solutions designed to enhance the performance, availability and security of enterprise applications.

"HP is excited to see F5 continue to expand its strategic partnerships in this dynamic market environment," said Robb Rasmussen, Vice President of C & I Worldwide Practices at HP. "Through the real-world testing of combined HP-F5 solutions at the Technology Center, customers can further validate our unique ability to deliver optimal performance and availability for all types of enterprise applications."

"For over eight years Oracle and F5 have worked together to build successful, world-class solutions for our joint customers. The development of the Technology Center is proof that F5 is making the proper investments to continue and showcase our work together," said Milan Thanawala, Director, Platform Products, at Oracle. "Our product management groups and go-to-market teams are excited to leverage this world-class facility to work collaboratively with F5 to build joint SOA, identity management, and security offerings based on Oracle® Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database."

"The F5 Technology Center will provide customers an opportunity to experience the robust and certified interoperability of RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication technology and F5's FirePass SSL VPN," said Stuart Cohen, director of partner development at RSA Security. "This effort further supports the partnership between RSA Security and F5 established through the RSA® Secured Partner Program by offering comprehensive demonstrations of simplified remote access deployment, as well as the increased security made available by RSA SecurID two-factor authentication technology."

The center officially opens on Aug. 15 and will be available for site visits by customer and partner representatives in September. Visits and accompanying services are free of charge for qualified candidates. To reserve your visit, contact your F5 Account Executive or Business Development Manager. For more information, go to
