Lori MacVittie of F5 Networks Honored with the 2012 CloudNOW Top Ten Women in Cloud Award

CloudNOW award recognizes F5’s Lori MacVittie for thought leadership and contributions to the cloud

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking (ADN), today announced that Lori MacVittie, Sr. Technical Marketing Manager, has been honored with the CloudNOW Top Ten Women in Cloud Award for her contributions, accomplishments, and thought leadership.

“This award recognizes the significant achievements and contributions of Lori MacVittie, who is a singular leader in the field of cloud computing and deserves all the accolades she receives. CloudNOW, a nonprofit executive consortium of the leading women in cloud computing, announced the winners of the first CloudNOW awards during the Cloud Connect Conference. Winners were selected through a process of industry nominations and applications, with final selection based on outstanding contributions to the cloud.

“It is an honor to be recognized by CloudNOW with this award,” said MacVittie. “It is extremely gratifying to be recognized by an organization whose mission I respect and support.”

CloudNOW is known throughout the industry as representing the next generation in IT and the next generation of women’s tech organizations.

Lori has been actively involved in the cloud community, participating in a variety of both active and now- defunct standards working groups. She has been a prolific voice on the topic through a variety of publications and her blog on the F5 DevCentralTM developer community, which is syndicated throughout the cloud community. Additionally, Lori has been recognized by SYS-CON Media as one of the 50 top bloggers on cloud computing and one of the ten most powerful voices in security.
