F5 Networks Named a Top 50 Technology Innovator for 2005 by IT Week Magazine

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, was named a Top 50 Technology Innovator for 2005 by IT Week magazine, the only weekly IT magazine to electronically deliver the latest IT news to more than 100,000 qualified subscribers.

IT Week's annual Top 50 Innovators awards recognize companies whose technologies have been deemed by the magazine's editors as those that are capable of transforming global business. The Top 50 Technology Innovators for 2005 were announced in the December 5th edition of IT Week.

Ken Durham, editor of IT Week magazine, explained that the list had evolved from the observations magazine staff had made about the new technologies featured over the last year. The magazine focused on what the new developments brought to the global market - regardless of whether the companies are small start-ups or large corporations.

"We're honored to be among those recognized as top technology innovators by IT Week," said Erik Giesa, VP of Product Management and Marketing at F5 Networks. "F5 has consistently been recognized as market leader and innovator, but we've significantly widened the gap between F5 and our competition with the introduction of our TMOS architecture. TMOS is the foundation for F5's application fluency and flexibility and truly sets the bar for providing a new level of application acceleration, security, and availability for the LAN and the WAN."
