F5 Networks Leads the Industry with its No. 1 Market Share Position for Layer 4-7 Ethernet Fixed Switches

Broad market adoption of F5's BIG-IP v9 product fuels F5's unmatched revenue and market share growth in the Layer 4-7 Fixed and Total Ethernet Switch Markets

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Traffic Management, announced today that it has extended its No. 1 market share lead for the Layer 4-7 (L4-7) Fixed1 Ethernet Switch market. In the first calendar quarter of 2005, the BIG-IP product's market share jumped nearly four percent over the previous quarter, from 40.2% to 44.1%, according to the latest Dell'Oro Group Report2. F5's BIG-IP product has continued to achieve record revenue growth and the highest market share of any product in the L4-7 Fixed Switch market.

In the first quarter of 2005, F5's BIG-IP product revenue jumped 22.4% over the previous quarter (CYQ4 2004). Furthermore, from CYQ1 2004 to CYQ1 2005, F5's market share increased nearly 12% in the Total3 L4-7 Switch market.
