F5 Networks Appoints Gary Ames to Its Board of Directors

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader of Application Traffic Management products, today announced that it has appointed Gary Ames to its Board of Directors.

Gary most recently served as President and CEO of London-based MediaOne International, where he was responsible for developing and managing a global portfolio of sixteen broadband and wireless communications ventures. Over a five year period, Gary was instrumental in growing MediaOne International's market cap from $1.5 billion to over $17 billion. While at MediaOne, Gary also served as Chairman of Telewest, the largest residential broadband company in the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining MediaOne in July 1995, Gary served as President and CEO of US West Communications, where he was responsible for managing over $11 billion in revenue and 15 million customers across 14 western and mid-western states. During that time, Gary led the company through several vital business initiatives, including merging three of the former Bell telephone companies.
