F5 Ensures High Performance and Availability for Foreign Exchange Trading at Easy-Forex

BIG-IP solution delivers optimal performance globally for customers using Internet trading platform

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that Easy-Forex Ltd., a leading foreign exchange trading company operating in the over-the-counter market, has implemented F5®BIG-IP® Global Traffic Manager™ (GTM™) and BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager™ (LTM™) solutions to ensure consistent availability of the web servers that underpin the company's business.

"Easy-Forex's competitive advantage is our online platform," said Uri Strauss, Head of Operations at Easy-Forex® Technologies™. "In working with F5, the aim was to provide our customers with high availability and fast page load times. We believe that foreign exchange should be simple and F5's solutions support this philosophy."

Implemented by the reseller Spider Services, the solution chosen by Easy-Forex incorporates F5's global and local load balancing technologies. BIG-IP GTM works as a DNS server to load balance between data centers so users are always directed to the best-performing site. BIG-IP LTM maintains high availability of the servers associated with foreign exchange application data, while F5's immensely flexible iRules™ and iControl ® technologies are applied to address application persistence and system management issues.

"When dealing with foreign exchange trade over the Internet, it is hugely important to maintain website availability through methods such as traffic optimization and acceleration," said Gad Elkin, Country Manager, Israel at F5. "Easy-Forex has become, in many ways, an ideal F5 customer, where our solutions serve a vital function as part of the company's core service provision."
