F5 Networks Named Application Networking Vendor of the Year in Asia Pacific for the Second Consecutive Year by Frost & Sullivan

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that the company has received the Application Networking Vendor of the Year Award for the second year running. The 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards recognize outstanding performance and leadership by companies within the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in Asia Pacific that have made the most significant impact on the market in 2008.

F5 won the 2009 Asia Pacific Application Networking Vendor of the Year award for its strong business performance and market-leading position in the application networking segment in 2008.

"In spite of the challenging business climate in 2008, F5 Networks achieved solid growth in revenues and maintained its dominant market leadership position in the application networking market. F5 continues to have one of the most robust and scalable application delivery platforms that is highly modular and customizable according to customers' needs," said Arun Chandrasekaran, Industry Manager, Frost & Sullivan. "In early 2008, F5 also broke the performance barrier by launching the VIPRION® platform, the industry's first on-demand application delivery platform. The platform, which is based on a modular bladed chassis hardware system, offers high levels of scalability for service providers and enterprise data centers. F5's innovation and strong support network in Asia Pacific positions it very well to capitalize on growth opportunities in the Application Delivery Controller (ADC) segment."

"We are honored to receive the Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Award for Application Networking Vendor of the Year for the second time," said Song Tang Yih, Vice President of Asia Pacific Sales at F5. "This award not only represents the opinions of industry experts, but also demonstrates the confidence they have in F5's vision of Unified Application and Data Delivery Services to enable greater IT agility by creating a dynamic IT infrastructure that can easily adapt to changing business requirements."

F5 recently announced the release of BIG IP® version 10 (v10) which provides a unified application delivery solution capable of supporting the priorities of today's CIOs. BIG IP v10 enables IT to streamline application delivery-reducing costs through consolidation and optimization-and increases IT and workforce efficiency with improvements in performance, manageability, and control over the infrastructure and applications it supports.
